Revamped Physiotherapy and District Early Intervention Centre inaugurated at Wenlock Hospital

Mangaluru: Minister of Health and Family Welfare U T Khader inaugurated the renovated physiotherapy centre and District Early Intervention Centre at the Government Wenlock Hospital here on Tuesday, April 19.

 

Khader in his inaugural address said that with the help of Rotary club, an excellent physiotherapy centre has been started for the general public. He thanked the Mangaluru Rotary club for giving equipments worth Rs 25 lakh to this physiotherapy centre.

 

He also said that the state government started many pro-poor medical schemes like peritoneal dialysis, dental care centre, ten-bed dialysis center and tuberculosis center with the objective of providing the best and feasible medical facilities for the poor.

 

“Medical aspirants should join government hospitals only if they are service-oriented. People who are economically backward come to these hospitals. We need to build their confidence in government hospitals. Good service by the staff will develop these hospitals.  

 

Yathish Baikampady, President of Rotary club Mangaluru was honoured on the occassion.

 

Dr Shantharam Shetty; Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim; DHO Rajeshwari Devi, President of M V Shetty College, Dr M R Shetty; Chairman of Sri Devi Institute of Physiotherapy, Myna Shetty and others were present.
