Mysuru: Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Dr. Subramanian Swamy who was in the city said that the remarks he had made with regard to the suicide of Dalit scholar Rohit Vemula who had been expelled from his hostel after allegedly clashing with the BJP’s youth wing, has been twisted.
He had earlier tweeted – “The Hyd U drama is fast becoming the biggest con job of Communists and their running dogs.”
The ongoing probe will reveal what exactly happened, he clarified.
Expressing concern over students who attempted to disrupt Prime Minister Modi’s speech at Lucknow University, he said that protests are common but they should not allow such politically favoured protests in universities.
He was in the city to take part in the 119th Jayanti celebrations of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose organised by Yuva Brigade, Mysuru, at Mahajana College Ground in Jayalakshmipuram.
