Mangaluru: A 24-year-old youth was killed on the spot in a road accident near Chitrapur-Tannirbavi stretch on Tuesday night.

The deceased is identified as Naga Reddy(24), a resident of Sindur in Raichur district.

The incident took place on Tuesday night at 8.30 pm when Naga Reddy was heading towards Chitrapur from Bikampady. He lost control of the vehicle and fell on a heap of stones stored on the road side and then hit the wall of a house. It is learnt that the mishap took place due to over speeding.

The body has been sent for post mortem. Surathkal police are further investigating the case.

Naga Reddy was working as a security guard at APMC in RK factory in Mangaluru.
