Rai directs officials to redress water woes in rural areas

Mangalore: State Minister for Forest and Ecology and DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has  directed the officials to ensure that  people do not face problems in any village due to water shortage.

Addressing a meet held at the DC office auditorium on Aril 26, Saturday to  discuss the drinking water problem, the minister  asked officials to address the water problems in villages with right earnestness. He also directed officials to look into the  proposal of multi-village drinking water project and  also asked tahsildars to submit a report on the water problems in their area.

Tulasi Maddineni, ZP Chief Executive Officer, who also spoke, said  steps have been taken to supply water through tankers in Kotekar, Mennebettu, Kinnigoli, Konaje, Manjanady of Mangalore taluk and Sarapady and Kavalapadur villages in Bantwal taluk.

Several district and taluk level officials were present.
