Purab Kohli, Kirti Kulhari ‘Jal’ team mesmerised Mangaloreans

Mangalore, Mar 3: The lead cast of the movie ‘Jal’ today charmed Mangaloreans with their presence at the city’s Cinepolis multiplex.

Speaking at the press conference, director of the film Girish Malik praised the youth of the neighborhood regions and the city as well regarding their enthusiasm related to the subject of the film.

Director and the cast of the film are trying to woo youth of the nation in order to grab their attention for their film. The cast visited Manipal university at the department of mass communication where students cheered the presence of heartthrob actor Purab Kohli and lovely Kirti Kulhari.

“I am used to work in harsh conditions, shooting in 48 degree temperature with sandstorms; all the time was crazy. Moreover, the team faced 17 sunstrokes, two heart attacks, but somehow beauty of the place is so much that such challenges look small when you complete the film successfully, thus no complaints so far,” says the director.

Kirti Kulhari, a lead actress in the film, who feels grateful being part of the film, states: “The film, which is based in Gujarat, but its matter, is connecting and touching Koreans and across the world as well, which is pleasantly surprising for us.”

Admiring the city, Purab Kohli says that the city is very beautifully situated between the hills with huge coconut plantations. The actor also praised the regional seafood cuisine.

Besides, regarding the movie, director says that we have received estimated 50,000 likes at Facebook, relatively between the age group of 18 to 44.

Also, director claims that people from Brazil, Canada, Spanish speaking countries want to see the film based on such issues.

The film is compiled amid all the relevant ingredients with the backdrop of the water paucity. Further, the film has managed to capture the Rann of Kutch with its prime subject of water as well as the beauty of the location.

Purab Kohli, playing the character of Bakka in the film, who is gifted with an unusual knack to find water in the desert. And, the film is set to release on April 4.

In addition, the film recently concluded at Busan international Film Festival and was also officially selected for the Indian Panorama section at IFFI, Goa.
