Karkala :  In a tragic road accident, 16 year old Shrutesh lost his life when the car in which he was travelling veered off the highway and overturned in front of Miyar Church on December 13. Shrutesh who was caught under the car was killed on the spot.

He was a first PUC student at Bhuvanendra College and stayed at the Bhujabali Ashram. The accident took place when Shrutesh was travelling to Karkala along with his parents who were supposed to attend a Parent Teachers Association Meeting.

The car was driven by Shrutesh’s father Shantaraj who all  of a sudden lost control over the vehicle.  Both the parents sustained minor injuries.

Karkala Town police have registered a case.
