Mangalore : A protest was held against Congress for not giving proper security to women in India near DC office by the DYFI, SFI and the CPIM. Protesters shouted slogans  “Go Rahul Go” and showed black flags .

Fr Vinod Mascarenhas of Vimukti Trust said that there is no adequate security for women. We hear lot of crimes against women but the politicians and the police are least bothered about it. Criminals are left free. We should fight against all these politicians and raise our voice.

Dayanand shetty of DYFI said moral policing by Bajarang Dal and organisations is increasing day by day like Pub attack, Home stay attack and Deralakatte incident.  Women cannot move freely. Earlier Ramanath Rai had promised that he would stop all the illegal activities and moral policing.Government has failed to take strict action against the criminals.

Social activist Vidya Dinkar,Muneer Katipalla of DYFI, Nithin Kuthar of SFI and others were present during the protest.

Police interfered and arrested the protestors when they started to move towards Nehru Maidan where the Congress rally was going on.
