Mangalore: Promotional officer of small scale industries Yeyyadi Vaman Naik, was caught red handed by the Lokayukta Officials.

It is learnt that  Vaman Naik who was working as the Promotinal offcer at the District Industrial Center yeyyadi, had demanded Rs 7000 from an applicant to sanction the subsidies given  by the Govt. through the Bank.

One named Jagadish from Kaladka Had approached the Promotional Officer for sanctioning his application before being produced to the bank. The officer initially refused to sign, later he demanded Rs 7000 to do so and finally settled for Rs 4000.

Jagadish recorded the conversation between him and the officer and produced it to the district Lokayukta. On the basis of the leads given, the Lokayukta DySp Mr Vittal Das Pai led by his team inspector Umesh Shet and Manjeya caught the promotional officer Vaman naik red-handed accepting bribe.
