Mangaluru: President Pranab Mukherjee was given a warm welcome as he arrived here at Mangaluru International Airport on Sunday, June 18.

District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai welcomed the President in the presence of Minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader, mayor Kavita Sanil, ZP president Meenakshi Shantigodu, deputy commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesh and police commissioner T R Suresh.

The President arrived in an IAF aircraft and left for Udupi in a helicopter where he is scheduled to participate in an inaugural programme of Dr B R Shetty’s super-specialty hospital besides visiting Udupi Shree Krishna Matt temple and Sri Mookambika Temple, Kollur temple.

Meanwhile tight security arrangements have been made for the President’s visit.
