Prayer house alleged of conversion raided at Mannagudda

Mangalore: Alleging that there has being instances of Proselytism (Converting religion), in a prayer house at Mannagudda an unidentified man alerted the police on Sunday August 3.

 

On the received information, the Barke police raided the house, however no conversions were held and it was concluded as a false complaint.

As per the police, that a married Catholic woman who was childless for four years had conceived after offering prayers for which thanksgiving prayers were going on.

However the police have not revealed the identity of the caller, but the thoroughly inspected and did not find any relevance to the complaint, after which they left.

Reportedly the house owner is identified as Shashira, who had rented the house to Dolphy. Prayer meeting and gatherings were conducted in the house.
