Mangalore: The new DK District BJP President Pratapsimha Nayak took charge at a function held at CV Nayak Hall on August 31, Saturday. Padmanabha Kottary, outgoing district President handed over charge to Nayak.
Former CM DV Sadananda Gowda who participated as a chief guest, exuded confidence that the BJP would overcome the failure which it had suffered in the previous elections and regain the confidence of the people of the state very soon. He also hoped that Pratapsimha Nayak’s tenure as District BJP Chief would further strengthen the party base in the district.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said under the able leadership of Pratapsimha Nayak the BJP would certainly regain its lost glory. Referring to the cattle issue, he said the cattle slaughter cases have seen a spurt since the Congress government took charge.
The new Presidents of the BJP units in eight constituencies are as follows : Mangalore (Ullal) – Chandrashekar Uchil, Mangalore South – Ravishankar Mijar, Mangalore North – Ramesh S, Beltangady – Balakrishna V Shetty, Moodbidri – K P Sucharitha Shetty, Bantwal – G Ananda, Puttur – Appayya Maniyani, Sullia – Harish Kanjipili
