Kasargod: Kasargod police led by DySP P Mohanchandran have nabbed two men who were transporting ganja concealed in a specially made compartment in their Qualis vehicle.

The arrested persons have been identified as Sunil David (34) from Ernakulam Palerivatta and MG Murali (42) from Idukki. Police who acted on a tip off intercepted the car near the Press Club junction. However, initially they could not find anything suspicious in the car. But a detailed check revealed the secret compartment in the car where nearly 46 kg of ganja was concealed.

The vehicle was of Tamil Nadu registration. Police are searching for the kingpins of this racket. The arrested duo are learnt to be the middlemen.

Investigations are underway.
