Mangalore: A voice emerged and won many hearts; it created ripples among listeners and sensational waves in Konkani music. Silvery voiced Prajoth D’Sa, is all set to release his independent Konkani music album UDI UDI. Having sung for over 40 Konkani albums, Prajoth has made a remarkable achievement in Konkani music in a short span.
UDI UDI is a multi-genre music album comprising 11 songs with 10 different genres of music blended into the rich legacy of Konkani. The genres include Ballad, Latino, Indie Rock, Jazz Blues, Drum n Bass, DubStep and more.
UDI UDI will be released by the Bishop of Udupi Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo on December 24 after the Christmas mass at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur.
The album will also be released in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on December 26 by Konkan Ghar on the occasion of their Christmas celebrations under the leadership of Mr. Eric D’Sa.
The Uniqueness of UDI UDI : Tunes of UDI UDI have been composed by Roshan Crasta and Prajoth D’Sa. A Hindustani Classical fusion track composed by Jyoti Venkataraman, Bangalore is something to watch out for. Vanil Veigas has composed and arranged the music for the album. M.Dolvin has arranged an additional song. Lyrics have been penned by Lloyd Rego, Roshan Crasta and Kishoo Barkur.
All the songs have been sung by Prajoth D’Sa, featuring a bunch of 5 talented singers which include fresh new voices of Eden D’Sa and Meghana Saldanha along with Alexis D’Souza, Joshal D’Souza and Vinay Lewis.
The promotional teasers have already received huge appreciation. The song “Tuzo Mog Maka Zala” is predicted to be the Konkani Love Anthem of the year. The short teaser of the song has already raised the bars high.
