Bantwal: The State Highway stretch from Melkar to Mudipu is dotted with innumerous potholes making travel on this road a nightmarish experience.

With rains lashing the area since the past few days these potholes are changing their size and depth with the passing of each day and  have turned into virtual puddles in turn risking the lives of pedestrians as well as motorists. In most places including Kolake and Chelur it is these potholes which are reigning the roads.

With the area seeing heavy traffic with most vehicles proceeding towards Mangalore University, KS Hegde Hospital, Infosys and other  places, there is an urgent need on the part of authorities to take steps to at least repair this stretch of road temporarily.
