Mangaluru: Much sober political figure, in recent days; from Dakshina Kannada and veteran Congress leader Janardhan Poojary said that Intelligence Bureau (IB) had been carrying out operations of political espionage. “The IB has been working at the behest of BJP”, he alleged.

Shockingly he also suspected that he is being snooped, he explained, “I have been receiving calls from ‘unknown numbers’ to which if I try to call back I am unable to connect.”

He spelled suspicious over his recent call records as he was getting calls from unknown numbers. “I am not able to call back to the number which fuelled my doubts of being snooped by unidentified persons,” he opined. He said he would complain it to the service provider to procure background details of the number.

He drew a card from national-level political event of Delhi police visiting Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s house, in a press meet here at DK Congress office on Monday, to link it to his own experience of possible espionage.

In a rage Janardhan taunted a former union minister, who is known to be a political rivalry of Poojary and said “I also condemn the act of police visiting Moily house.” He hit out at Narendra Modi lead BJP for following Gujarat model of snooping style.

Besides, he expressed IB was certainly working in the interest of the BJP in a bid to fulfill the political motives of the party in power.
