RTI Penalty: B’luru South Tashildhar coughs up Rs 1.7 lakh in two years

Bengaluru: An RTI reply to  Kalidas Reddy has revealed that in the last two years, the Karnataka Information Commission (KIC) has imposed a penalty of Rs 1.73 lakh on Bengaluru South Tahsildar Dr Dayanand, revealed a recent RTI reply by the KIC.

The RTI was filed  about two months ago about the total penalty imposed on Dayanand ever since he took over as the Bengaluru South Tahsildar.

Since 2013, the officer had to cough up Rs 1.73 lakh after he took over as the Bengaluru South Tahsildar, whereas other Tahsildars of Bengaluru have paid Rs 10.45 lakh in the last seven years.

Reddy filed the RTI as he was denied iinformation about four villages despite the KIC directives.
