Kasaragod: The sniffer dog belonging to Kasaragod police dog squad died at Wayanad animal protection centre hospital after brief illness.
Teffy, the sniffer dog joined the canine-squad at Kasaragod in 2004 when it was five months old, after Jackie, the earlier sniffer dog died. It played a vital role in cracking cases related to tracking hidden explosives and was very dear to its owners because of its diverse skills. It had won many medals at various competitions and had taken part at the National meet in Haryana to showcase its individual talent.
It was brought from Madurai to Trichur dog training centre and with its demise the Kasaragod dog squad strength is reduced to two.
Teffy’s companions Rooney and Badlu are on the lookout for the missing Teffy who will never return!
