Mangalore: The DCP, IGP, circle inspectors and sub-inspectors conducted a raid at the jail premises in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday June 11.

After the Jail inmates assaulted police officers including the ACP at the sub jail here on June 8, the police officials took the issue into concern and questioned the jail inmates.

Accordingly the inspection is still under.

DCP Vishnuvardhan, DCP Jagadish, IGP Ravi Kumar, ACP Tilakchandra and all the station circle inspectors and sub-inspectors joined the force and conducted the raid.

Reportedly the police found many ganja packets, two mobile phones, a knife and three blades in the cells.
