Police develop plan to prevent theft in rainy season

Karkala : In order to prevent theft cases in the rainy season a meeting was organised between police personnel and owners of Jewellery shops and Bank officers. Several decisions were taken to tackle the theft problems at  the meeting.

It was decided to clean up areas and cut any bushes that might be found,  in and around the Banks and jewellery shops to prevent  thieves from hiding in these areas. It also decided that the concerned agencies should install CCTV cameras inside and outside banks. The  Meeting reiterated that if  there is any help required, or issues related to this they should consult police and solve it.  Also they should inform police as soon as they come across Movements of unknown people or suspected.

In the meeting police circle inspector R N Raikar, Ravi from city station and Mahadev shetty from rural station and representatives of public also were present.
