Pinarai Vijayan visits endosulfan affected areas; assures help

Kasargod: CPM Politburo Member Pinarai Vijayan visited endosulfan affected areas on Thursday, January 14.
He visited the houses of endo victims near Muliyaru, Karadka and Yenmakaje gram panchayath limits and listened to their grievances.

He also visited the family of Yenmakaje gram panchayath former-vice president Balakrishna who died recently and consoled the family members.

CPM leaders M V Govindan Master, MLA P Karunakaran, K P Sathishchandran, M V Balakrishna Master, K J Thomas, former MLA C H Kunchambu were present.

Speaking to reporters he said that if the left front comes to power in the upcoming elections, necessary steps would be taken to provide housing facilities to the victims.

Also all medical care will be provided in the district itself for endosulfan victims. Loans borrowed by the victims will be waived, he added.

The responsibility of managing endosulfan cell should be given to district panchayat president, he said.
