Mangaluru: The second phase of the pulse polio drive in the state will be held on February 21, Health Minister UT Khader informed.

As many as 32,617 booths have been set up to immunize children. Further, 51,732 teams, 1,03,464 volunteers, 6,522 supervisors and 1205 mobile units have been formed.
In addition to this, 1,736 transit teams have been formed to immunize children in the 29,000 high risk areas across the State,” Khader said at a press meet on Friday, February 19.
Polio booths will be open for immunization on February 21 from 8am to 5pm.
From February 22 -24, volunteers will be visiting houses to immunize children who have been left out for various reasons, he added.
The first phase of the pulse polio drive was held on January 17 during which 74,39,229 children below 5-years of age were immunized.
