Moodbidri: The  District Sessions Court has granted bail to one of the seven accused in the case of theft of pepper worth Rs 8.5 lakhs  from the godown of  Gujarat origin businessman Mukesh Kumar Patil  at Handelu in Puttige GP limits on the night of June 21.

The accused who got bail is Harish Poojari of Kallamundkur.

Police had arrested Yogi alias Yogiraj (23) of Nellikar, Naveen (30) of Valpady, Yogish Salian (26) of Kayargundi, Sukesh Shetty (23), Pratap Rai (23) of Pallatadka and Mahesh (20) of Kotebagilu in connection with the theft. Of them Yogi was said to be involved in other criminal cases.

Interrogations of the accused had  also revealed that they had also hatched a plot to rob the residence of actress Radhika at Salettur.
