Udupi :Police have identified a 60 year old man who died after he was hit by a car while crossing the road here at Muloor on national highway 66 on Friday May 2.

Hasan alias Hassainar (60),resident of Kodi in Kundapur was crossing the road in front of CSI school to go to his sister’s house at Muloor. Hasan died soon after he was hit by the car.

Meanwhile KPCC secretory M A Ghafoor helped to shift the body to the hospital. MLA Pramod Madhwaraj and District incharge minister Vinaykumar Sorake visited hospital and conveyed thier condolences.

Kaup police inspector Rajendra Nayak visited the spot. Police have taken the car and its driver into thier custody. Further investigations is on.

Hasan is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
