Mangalore : Moidin Bava, MLA of Mangalore North constituency has said that the allegations levelled against him by former MLA Krishna Palemar were far from truth.

Addressing press persons at the Congress Election office on March 26, Wednesday, he said Palemar’s allegations that the three ministers from the district were inaccessible and had not sanctioned any grant for the development of the district, were false. Bava also refuted the charges of Palemar that he had resorted to favouritism in awarding contracts to his relatives.
He further claimed that he had secured Rs 3 crore special grants, Rs 51 lakh grant from MP Fund of Union Minister Oscar and Rs 2 crore from his MLA fund for developmental works in his constituency. Bava also claimed that the PWD has taken up works worth Rs 12 crores in the constituency.
Former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty who also spoke, referring to the allegations of Palemar, said everyone is aware of the great work done by the former minister inside the Assembly.
Congress spokespersons Kallige Taranath Shetty, Harikrishna Bantwal, District Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal, TK Sudhir and others were present.
