Mangaluru: The sleuths of City Crime Branch (CCB) police, on Tuesday, arrested Umesh (33), for selling ganja here in the city.

Based on the tip-off, the CCB police led by inspector Valentine D’souza caught Umesh red-handed with packets of ganja at Mahaveera Circle in the city. 

During the initial enquiry, Umesh, a resident of Jeppinamogaru revealed that he was selling ganja to the inmates of Mangaluru district sub-jail, Valentine D’Souza told newskarnataka.com.   

The police seized 500 grams of ganja estimated at Rs. 10, 000 and three mobile phones.

Umesh along with the seized ganja was handed over to the Mangaluru rural police station for further enquiry.
