Udupi : The police have been successful in arresting two persons wanted in connection with several chain snatching and looting cases. The arrests were made on April 13, Sunday and  the accused are 28 year old Raviraj Devadiga and 32 year old Prakash Devadiga. Several gold chains totally weighing 150 grams, a Maruti Omni vehicle and two bikes were seized from them.

It is learnt, the duo had snatched the chains of several churchgoers in Shirva and Karkala and were also involved in other thefts in Belanjalu, Kuthyar and other areas. They used to mainly target old people and women. Of the two accused Raviraj was an electrician while Prakash a coolie. The arrests were made under the directions of Karkala ASP Annamalai.
