Newly constructed Kadri-Nanthur road inaugurated

Mangaluru: The newly concreted four-lane road from Mallikatte to Nanthur circle was inaugurated by district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai today.

The road was constructed at a cost of Rs 285 lakhs.

Rai who spoke after the inauguration, said that the project was undertaken with funds from the Chief Minister’s third phase of Rs 100 crore grant for development works.

“We are developing a model road from Nanthoor to Nandigudda which will be completed shortly. The drainage and footpath construction will commence soon,” he said.

MLA J R Lobo said that it is the longest four-lane road in Mangaluru.

“This project will give a new look to Mangaluru. And I congratulate all the MCC officials and the contractor Sudhakar Poonja for completing this project on time,” he said.

Mayor Harinath, MCC Commissioner Gopal Krishna and others were present.
