Mangaluru: It was a proud moment for Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group, UAE after a new road in Kandak was named after his grandfather late B Mohiudeen Haji, the father of late Hassan Hajee and B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, Chairman of BA Group India, to honour his active participation and for contributing to the improvement of the area.

‘B Mohiudeen Haji Road’ as the road would be called, was formally announced by Health Minister U T Khader at special function held at Thumbay Hills in Bantwal on Sunday, May 1.
‘Token of Appreciation’ awards were handed over by District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai and Health minister U T Khader to Abdulla Kunhi Baikara, Yenepoya Mohamed Kunhi, B Mohideen Hasan Hajee and Haji C Mahmood recognizing their matchless contributions to development of community.
‘Senior Achiever of the Year’ and ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ awards were awarded to Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi and K E Faizal respectively for their contributions to the community.
Chairman of BA Group B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen was conferred with a honourary doctorate for his contributions to community through Gulf Medical University (GMU), the leading private medical university of the Middle East region located in Ajman, UAE. Ahmed Hajee received the doctorate from Thumbay Moideen, the Founder President of the Board of Governors of GMU, in the presence of Prof Gita Ashok Raj, the Provost and Dean of GMU.
