Mangaluru: When the whole city of Mangaluru is in dire straits in regards to water supply, a water supplying pipe broke at Kadri near Shivabhag today causing loss of liters of water.

While a drainage work was on progress, a JCB hit a water pipeline resulting in massive loss of water.

The workers said that, while digging the ground for drainage, the JCB hit a pipeline. Initially it was a small crack on the pipe, but as the force of the water increased the pipe broke and water came out in full force.

While Newskarnataka contacted Mayor Harinath, he said that MCC will take immediate action to fix it.
