Mangalore : Police who are investigating into the clashes reported between members of two communities at Mallur near Neermarga on October 21, Monday night have booked 25 persons so far.





Those against whom cases are registered are Kamal, Farooq, Mustafa, Irshad, Safan, Ibba, Rizwan, Prasad, Tausif and Sadiq. As many as nine persons were injured in the clashes on Monday.
As already reported, a group had entered the house of Kunjanna and attacked his family members as well as neighbours injuring nine persons. The attack was a continuation of a quarrel that ensued during the day outside Kunjanna’s house when two youngsters named Shaukat and Nizam tried to steal the bike of one Praveen. Some sources said they had not tried to steal but only damaged the bike.
Several vehicles were stoned and damaged by miscreants following October 21, Monday night’s incident. The situation is said to be peaceful now.
