Mangalore: Condemning the NDA government’s failure to control price rise, CPI party members held a demonstration in front of DC office here on Thursday.

The common people are not able to bear the price rise. The central government has failed completely to control prices of basic things. The present government is favoring only the rich and industrialists at the cost of poor. The concept of Achhe din is not actually present in reality, said CPI district secretary P Sanjeeva.

Both congress and BJP have misguided the society. Modi during election campaigns promised programmes in support of common people. But now he is not taking any actions to control price rise. Common people are not getting admissions in the schools and colleges as they fail to pay huge amount of donations, he said.

AITUC president V Kukyan, secretary H V Rao, V S Berinja, B Shekar CPI district secretaries were present during the protest.
