Udupi: An 8 months pregnant woman died under mysterious circumstances at a hospital in Madikeri on Monday May 19.

The victim is identified as Zohra (27) wife of Nizaar (26). Zohra married Nizaar resident of Belapu six years ago. Reports say that it was a love marriage. After staying in Belapu and Hoode for few years the couple had moved to Kunjila at Napoklu in Madikeri.

Reportedly Zohra, mother of a boy child was admitted to Hospital as she suffered a nerve problem. On Monday May  19, she was declared dead in the hospital.

Zohra’s father Moideen and her family, on getting information of her sudden death, rushed to the hospital. They alleged that Nizaar and his family tortured Zohra, and because of that she lost her life. They also filed a complaint against Nizaar.

Zohra’s family wanted to conduct the post-mortem in udupi at Ajjarkadu hospital. Till wednesday for 3 days District hospital failed to do the post mortem because of the lack of doctors.

Later the Tahsildar visited the hospital and solved the confusion that prevailed and by wednesday evening a lady doctor was called and she conducted the post mortem.

It is said that Zohra wanted to separate from her husband but her family intervened and the matter was solved.
