Karkala : Three persons have been arrested  on the charges of attempting to kill a  Dalit youth who was found in the company of a woman belonging to another community in a house at Banglegudda recently.

The arrested are Abhid, Hafiz alias Usman and Imtiyaz. With their arrest, the total number of arrests in the case has risen to nine.

Others arrested earlier are Noha, the lover of the victim youth Sudhir Raane of Bailoor, Asif, Maqbul, Altaf, Dawood and Kishore. Police have launched a search for the   four other absconding accused including Hussain, Iqbal, Ansar and Pajil.

The victim who is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital is currently said to be out of danger.
