Mulki : A shocking incident of a man torturing and raping his own daughter has been reported from Lingappaiah Kadu in KS Rao Nagar of Mulki.

The accused  Vittal (44) has been arrested. As per the complaint lodged by  the 13 year old girl, her father had held her mouth tight and raped her on May 8 morning when his wife was away. The girl said he once again tried to sexually assault her on the night of Thursday June 5, when she  resisted only to get a whipping by a belt. It is learnt, when she cried out of pain, neighbours rushed  and she narrated the incident. It is said the accused was an alcoholic.

The Mulki police have produced the arrested man before the court. He has been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
