MU to offer thirteen new courses this academic year

Mangaluru: First time ever, Mangalore University had planned to launch thirteen new courses in PG/UG/ correspondence/ diploma from the academic year 2016-17.

Out of the thirteen courses, seven courses are allotted for Post Graduate courses, so that the students so as to increase the number of students opting to study in the Mangalagangothri campus.

Vice-Chancellor of the University K Byrappa said that some of the new courses have already got approval and framing of regulation of syllabus will be done soon. If everything goes as per the plan, then the new courses will begin from this academic year only.

The regular UG/PG courses will be conducted on the Mangalagangothri campus at Konaje as well as the University College campus in Hampanakatta.
While 14 students will be taken for M.Sc. in Medical Physics for M.Sc. in Geography it will be 40 candidates and the courses will be offered at University College campus, Hampanakatta.

There will be a five year integrated law course for the UG section and it will be held at University College, Hampanakatta with the aim of creating lawyers from all branches ready with management skills.

One year regular diploma course is also available.
