
Mangaluru: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive BJP rally in the city, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel released BJP’s manifesto for Dakshina Kannada district for the upcoming assembly.
The manifesto was released at dlthe district BJP office, here on Sunday, May 6.
After releasing the manifesto, addressing the gathering, Nalin Kumar Kateel informed that the manifesto was prepared after consulting the people, in all the eight constituencies of Dakshina Kannada.
“The BJP’s manifesto is a reflection of people’s wishes. In our manifesto we have emphasized on development of tourism in Dakshina Kannada, development of agriculture sector in the district. We have also emphasized to bring a new sand policy, to put an end to sand mafia in the district. In our manifesto we have emphasized on inclusion of Tulu language in the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution, Nalin said.
Nalin Kumar also stated that the BJP will create employment opportunity for the youth in the district, will give special importance to construct rehabilitation center for Endosulpan victims, provide better compensation to them and also strive to curb drug menace in the district.
