Kasaragod: Moulvi of Marjipalya Urni Masjid died on the spot when his bike collided with a speeding tipper on the Hosangadi-Urni stretch this afternoon.

The deceased is Abdul Razak, aged 40, son of Abbas Moulavi of Machampadi.

The incident occurred when the speeding tipper lorry, crashed into the pulsar bike, which the Moulvi was riding near Kadambar road at 12.20 pm this afternoon. Due to the sudden impact Moulvi died on the spot. His body was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru where the doctors declared that he was brought dead.

The people who witnessed the accident complained that Manjeshwar police failed to reach the accident spot early but arrived after two hours.
