Mangalore : If everything goes as per the plans of the new Mangalore North MLA Moidin Bava, then Suratkal would see good progress in the near future,Speaking to reporters here on June 14, Friday, Bava said.
A comprehensive development plan for Suratkal was on anvil and will be framed at a meeting to be held at Govinda Dasa College, Suratkal on June 17, in the presence of Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake, district minister Ramanatha Rai, Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, MCC authorities as well as various stakeholders in Suratkal.
He said steps would be taken to develop Suratkal market on a Public Private Partnership Model. He also said there was a need to widen the service road at Suratkal. The place also needs a fire service station, Bava said and added the development of Suratkal area has been hindered due to several incomplete works.
He said as promised by him during elections, he would work for the overall development of Suratkal area. Bava also stated that a Suratkal Betterment committee headed by him will be formed to work for the progress of Suratkal area. He said the Committee will comprise of representatives of various organizations of Suratkal, political leaders irrespective of party lines.
