Mangaluru: Mangaluru City North MLA Mohiuddin Bava met with an accident when his driver tried to avoid hitting a pedestrian near Mangaluru Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited on Wednesday.

The MLA has suffered hand injuries and will be undergoing surgery soon.

The incident occurred on Wednesday on National Highway 66, when the MLA was heading towards Mangaluru International Airport as he was to attend a meeting in Bengaluru.

It has been reported that the driver tried to avoid hitting a pedestrian and landed in ditch. The driver too suffered minor injuries. The car was partially damaged in the mishap.
