Bangalore: BJP National Vice President and former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda has said that he has requested the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to take an early decision on bringing back former CM BS Yeddyurappa to the BJP fold yet again.
Speaking to media men here on September 3, Tuesday, Sadananda Gowda said he had met the Gujarat CM at Ahmedabad to discuss the measures to be taken to prepare the party for the forthcoming parliamentary polls.
Gowda said Modi has responded positively to his appeal to take an early decision on bringing back Yeddyurappa. The issue is also likely to come up at the BJP Parliamentary Board meet to be held in New Delhi on September 8, Gowda said.
DVS also said division of votes can be avoided if Yeddyurappa is brought back to the BJP.
