Modi has attracted even opposition party leaders: Suresh Kumar

Bantwal: BJP spokesperson and former minister Suresh Kumar has said that some Congress and JDS) leaders who though do not agree with BJP ideologies, are attracted towards  the party’s PM candidate Narendra Modi and wish he became the prime minister.

He was speaking after inaugurating a booth level party workers meet at the Ganadapadpu Narayana Guru Hall at BC Road on March 18, Tuesday under the aegis of the Bantwal assembly constituency unit of the BJP.

“Vajpayee is a good example to say how a politician should be. Even Gujarat CM Narendra Modi is as capable as Vajpayee. There is a Modi wave everywhere,” he said and asked party men to work for the success of the party in the elections.

Tejaswini Ramesh, former MP who recently joined the BJP, said  it may be no surprise if the whole nation suffers from cancer if  it depended on the Congress which had offended the areca growers by filing an affidavit before the Supreme Court stating arecanut was cancerous.

“Let the Congress learn how to come to power with hard work like the BJP,” she said and added one should bow before Modi’s  patriotism and his determination to achieve development

DK BJP candidate and sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel who also spoke  said the district minister who had questioned him about the grants which he had got sanctioned for the district, had come in the way of several projects. “I have  got sanctioned Rs 1400 crore grants during the past five years  and am in constant touch with party workers,” he said.

District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak presided over the meeting. MLC Kota Srinivas Poojari, former minister Nagaraj Shetty former MLAs Yogish Bhat, Rukmaya Poojari, Kumble Sunder Rao, Padmanabha Kottari, State BJP Vice President Sulochana GK Bhat and others were present.
