Mangaluru: A girl died on the spot after a car collided against a lorry, on Mangaluru–Udupi Highway, on Saturday, September 7.

The deceased girl has been identified as Gloria. According to the police, a car carrying 10 students from the College of Architecture of Manipal had crossed over the median at Chelyar Cross near Mukka and hit a lorry coming from Udupi. As the result, Gloria sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. Remaining students also sustained injuries, who were immediately shifted to the hospital. Traffic movement was disturbed due to the incident and it was cleared later.
