Bantwal : In a tragic incident reported from Chandalike in Vittal, a woman and her seven year old son  who were reported missing since October 2, Wednesday, have been found dead. Their bodies were found floating in a pond in a nearby plantation on October 4, Friday.

The deceased are Pushpa (28) and her son Sharath Kumar (7). As per the complaint lodged by Pushpa’s husband Janardhan, Pushpa who had left home on October 2 afternoon along with Sharat to the school where her daughters Kavya and Radhika studied, never returned home. Janardhan, in his complaint had also said that  Pushpa while leaving the home had also said that she would visit her grandfather. But when the two were not in sight for long, Janardhan  lodged a police complaint.

Meanwhile, Gangadhar Gowda, the plantation owner happened to notice the floating bodies in the pond in his plantation on Friday and immediately informed the police.

Vittal police are conducting the investigations.
