Bangalore : The decision as to whether  the KJP should forge an alliance with the BJP or merge the  BJP  is left to the discretion of KJP President Yeddyurappa by the party leaders.

This was decided upon at  a meeting of KJP office bearers and leaders held here. Most leaders opined that it was not advisable to merge the KJP with the BJP in  haste. They have also suggested that the KJP enter into an alliance with BJP during the Lok Sabha elections and make seat adjustments.

It is learnt Yeddyurappa has assured the party leaders that he would consider their suggestion and that a suitable decision would be taken after consultations.
