Mangaluru: A total of 20 members, supported by Bunts Alias Nadavara MathruSangha President Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai were elected as the executive members of Buntara Alias Nadavara Mathru Sangha (BANMS) during the recently concluded election. 

The elected members are Anand Shetty, Ullas R Shetty, N Muralidhar Shetty, Krishnaprasad Rai, K Umesh Rai Padavu Meginamane, Keshav Marla, Gopalakrishna Shetty, Jagannath Shetty Bala, Jayaram Santha, Dr Sachidanand Rai, Nitteguttu Raviraj Shetty, Maneesh Rai, Meghanath Shetty, Rathnakar Shetty, Ravindranath S Shetty, Vasanth Shetty, Vikas Shetty, Sundar Shetty M, Sukesh Chowta Ullal Guttu and Sabita R Shetty.

It can be noted that Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai was recently elected as the president of the Sangha after defeating Sureshchandra Shetty with a margin of 2,598. Though 20 members, supported by prominent Bunt community leaders like A Sadananda Shetty and Sureschandra Shetty contested for the post of executive members of the Sangha, they were defeated by the members, who are supported by Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi.
