Bantwal: The taluk Vishwa Hindu Parishat and other Hindu organizations led a massive protest at public amphitheatre, b C Road, here on Tuesday urging the state authorities to hand over the case of Sowjanya to CBI.


The walkathon that began from nearby Sri Rama Mandir, Bypass Road, here concluded at taluk office in B C Road, where protest meet was held.
Addressing the gathering, Namo Bharat convener Arun Kumar Puttila said that the state government had to act swiftly in awarding justice to Sowjanya’s grieving family by handing over the case to CBI. The district-in-charge minister had to urge the state authorities, otherwise he had to resign, urged Arun.
Puttur taluk Bajrang Dal convener Dinesh Kumar Jain said that both union and state governments are trying to cover up the case. The police have initially closed the case without considering its seriousness. If in case it happens to one of the daughter of a policeman whether he would keep quiet, questioned Dinesh. The district-in-charge minister is keeping mum to save his post. If he still keeps quiet, they are ready to obstruct him on the roads. If in case CBI report also comes out false, they are ready for bloodshed, said Dinesh.
Vishwa Hindu Parishat district president Deekayya Perody also spoke on the occasion.
