Kasargod: A 29-year-old married man has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl.

C H Bashir from Chullikkana in Badiyadka is the arrested.

According to Vidyanagar police, Bashir had taken the 16-year-old girl to several places and sexually assualted her promising marriage. He had raped her in a remote area in Chullikkana and a house in Maniyampare.

Girl’s parents filed a complaint with Vidyanagar police after she went missing. After an investigation she was traced in Karwar and she revealed about the sexual assault.

The girl who was working in a marketing agency got in touch with Basheer, a merchant in Badiyadka. Soon he lured her of marriage and took sexual favours.
