Kundapur: For the first time, Wakvady Public school, Kundapur organised one-day science exhibition, here at the school premises on September 2.
‘Gurukula Science Expo 2017’ was organised to explore the creativity, imagination, talent and ability of the students.
Inaugurating the expo, Associate professor Shrinath Rao said, “Life of a student is under pressure. This is the apt time to imbibe knowledge. Gurukula students have beautifully demonstrated over 166 science models. Knowledge and skills brings out creativity and newness ultimately resulting in progress. Quality education can change the nation. So these exhibitions provides a platform for the students to exhibit their talents. Teachers here in Gurukula have joined hands with students to organise this unique expo and it is highly appreciable.”
Gurukula Public school principal Saiju K R Nair lauded the efforts of students in organising the science expo.
Bandya education Trust joint administrator Subhaschandra Shetty K, who presided over the programme said, “We are inspired by the students here. To encourage them more, we will organise science expo at bigger level in coming days.”
The institition honoured guests of honour on the occasion. Another Bandya education Trust joint administrator Anupama S Shetty was present on the occasion.
Gurukula teacher Nagaratna compered and Babitha rendered vote of thanks. Various competitions were held for the students and distributed prizes for the winners on the occasion.
Along with parents of the students of the school, locals and students from nearby schoold too joined the programme and appreciated the creativity of the students.
Over 60 working models and 40 creative still models were demonstrated by the students of the reputed institution at the annual science expo which was open to teachers, students of other schools.
