Udupi : If the CCTV footages of the Manipal University campus, released by the police a few days ago showed the speeding autorickshaw of the accused in the case of gang rape of the  medical student, another CCTV footage of the Sri Krishna Petrol Bunk at Indrali  shows the three accused filling petrol to the autorickshaw well before the incident took place.

The CCTV footage of the petrol bunk which is also made use of by the Manipal police who are investigating the case which had hit headlines across the nation, shows the three accused, all of whom who are now in police net,  arriving at the petrol bunk in the autorickshaw at 11.05 pm on the night of June 20, when the gang rape incident took place.

The footage shows the main accused Yogish who is now in hospital after he attempted suicide before he could be arrested, trying to smoke a cigarette but reprimanded by the petrol bunk supervisor.

Anand, the other accused is seen holding a water bottle and trying to drink something   when the bunk supervisor comes to know that it is not water but whiskey. The auto with the three on board leaves the petrol bunk at 11.08 pm and heads to Manipal. It was then that the three come across the medical student whom they kidnapped and gang raped her as admitted by them during interrogation.

As seen in the CCTV footage, the person who is  wiping the autorickshaw is Hariprasd,  while the person holding the bottle is Anand.

Meanwhile, rumours are rife that the three raped the medical student at knife point and that Anand and Yogish even planned to eliminate her by crushing her with a stone. However, it is said Hariprasad prevented them from doing so and finally when the victim pleaded that she be dropped they dropped her near her house at Manipal.
