Mangaluru: Sullia candidate selection in hands of 128 people

Mangaluru: With the Assembly election slated to be held, the process of selecting candidates in all the parties is in full swing. This time, the BJP has come up with a novel move. It is trying to make it a party of BJP workers by electing the elected representatives of the Constituency through the voting process.

As many as 128 people will be allowed to cast their votes in Sullia Assembly Constituency.

BJP mandal committee office-bearers, District and State office-bearers in Mandals, District Presidents of prakoshta, Morchas, MLAs, ex-MLAs, election pramukhs, Mandal Morcha Presidents, Mahashakti Kendra Presidents and Secretary, Former Gram Panchayat Members, Former Taluk Panchayat members were among those who participated in the poll.

Presidents and Vice-Presidents, Town Panchayat Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Heads of Shakti Kendras are eligible to vote during the voting process and there are 128 people in Sullia Constituency.

All of them will vote for the candidate of their choice and the polling will be held from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on Friday March 31.

For two days on April 1 and 2, members of the Core Committees of all the District units will go to Bengaluru and hold separate talks with the State Unit Chiefs to record their views on the candidates.
